Procedure documentationPerforming Sampling on SFC Numbers Locate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have set up sampling (see Setting Up Sampling).

Procedure

To perform sampling on SFC numbers, proceed as follows:

  1. Start and complete your SFC numbers on the production operation in the POD. If there is applicable sample plan for these SFC numbers, their status changes to Complete Pending.

  2. Choose the Perform Sampling button. The Perform Sampling plug-in displays the name and details of the newly created SFC group (see SFC Group).

  3. Choose OK. SFC numbers randomly selected from your SFC group are moved to the sample routing (see Working with SFC Numbers on the Sample Routing).

  4. Start, work on and complete your sample SFC numbers on the sample routing. Log NC codes to indicate defects when necessary.

Sample SFC numbers are moved to the next operation on the production routing after being processed on the sampling routing. If your sample group is rejected, all non-sample SFC numbers from the SFC group are moved to be processed on the sample routing. If your sample group is accepted, all SFC numbers from the group are moved to the next operation on the production routing.

  5. After processing on the sampling routing, you can manually merge the split SFC numbers. You can also manually add SFC numbers to the process lot from which they were removed on sending to sampling.
