Separation of Value Calculation from Goods Movements: Effects on Cost Object Controlling Locate this document in the navigation structure

If you have activated the separation of value calculation from goods movements in Materials Management (MM), note the following:

  • Before running the period closing activities, make sure that all goods movements were valuated. If not all goods movements were valuated, the period-end closing transactions in Cost Object Controlling cannot be performed.

In the monitor of the Schedule Manager , the traffic light symbol for the job turns to red (error). For all objects in the scope of selection, no processing status is output for any processing step. This means that none of the objects in any of the processing steps were processed.

The only exception is cancellations of period-end closing transactions that have already been performed. Cancellations can also be performed when not all goods movements were valuated.
