When you transfer SFC numbers for spanned production, they are only partially finished at the source site. You transfer them to the destination site for further processing.

When an SFC number has the Done status at the last step on a routing, the system uses the transfer destination Receive checkbox to determine whether the SFC number is automatically placed at the first step on the routing at the destination site or must be manually received using the SFC Receipt activity which will then place the SFC in queue at the first step on the routing (see RMA SFC Receipt).

The figure below illustrates how you would set up the system to transfer SFC numbers between source and destination sites.
