Change Equipment Status

You use this activity to change the status of a resource, all resources in a work center, the status of a tool number, or all tool numbers in a tool group to indicate that the object is unavailable to be used in manufacturing at a specific time. This activity is primarily used for unscheduled downtime of the listed objects.

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

`DISPLAY_RESOURCE`	`YES` (default): Indicates that a resource is available in the Select By field `NO`: Indicates that a resource is not available in the Select By field
`DISPLAY_TOOL_GROUP`	`YES` (default): Indicates that a tool group is available in the Select By field `NO`: Indicates that a tool group is not available in the Select By field
`DISPLAY_TOOL_NUMBER`	`YES` (default): Indicates that a tool number is available in the Select By field `NO`: Indicates that a tool number is not available in the Select By field
`DISPLAY_WORK_CENTER`	`YES` (default): Indicates that a work center is available in the Select By field `NO`: Indicates that a work center is not available in the Select By field
`PLUGIN_URL`	Specifies the plug-in location in the SAP ME folder structure Default value: `/COM/SAP/ME/PRODUCTION/CLIENT/CHANGEEQUIPMENTSTATUS.JSP` Caution Any changes to the `PLUGIN_URL` activity rule setting in Activity Maintenance may result in incorrect display of the plug-in in the POD. The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

Filter Operation	Filters equipment by operation Note If an operation is selected in the POD when the activity is executed, the first selected operation is passed by default. End of the note.
Select By	Selects equipment Note If you select a work center, the status change applies to all resources in the selected work center and all resources in all work centers underneath the selected work center in the hierarchy. The status of the work center does not change (see Work Center). If you select a tool group, the status change applies to all tool numbers in the tool group. The status of the tool group does not change. End of the note.
New Status	The new status for the resources or tool numbers Enabled: The resource or tool number is enabled and ready to use Productive: The resource or tool number has a normal, running machine status Standby: The resource or tool number is ready to run, but it is idle Engineering: The resource or tool number has an alternative running status Disabled: The resource or tool number is disabled and no longer valid for use Hold Yield Rate: Prevents operators or machines from starting SFC numbers with yield rates below defined values at this resource Scheduled Down: The resource or tool number is closed for scheduled maintenance (preventive maintenance) Unscheduled Down: The resource (tool number) is closed for unscheduled maintenance Non-scheduled: The resource (tool number) is not scheduled to be in use. The line is closed Hold Consec NC: Prevents operators or machines from starting SFC numbers with consecutive nonconformances logged against them at this resource Hold SPC Viol: Prevents operators or machines from starting SFC numbers with SPC violations at this resource Hold SPC Warn: Prevents operators or machines from starting SFC numbers with SPC warnings at this resource Unknown: This status is due to unknown reasons. Prevents operators or machines from starting SFC numbers at this resource Hold: Prevents operators or machines from starting SFC numbers at this resource. Indicates this status is temporary. When the hold issue is resolved, users can change the status of this record. Use this status for relatively short durations. For example, when an SPC violation occurred, or for quick routine maintenance of the resource.
Reason Code	The reason code for the status change (see Reason Code)
Change Status	Submits the status change action Note If SFC numbers are active at a resource when a status change is submitted, the status change does not take effect immediately for that resource. While a status change is pending, work performed on the resource is logged to the current status, not the new one. Once all active SFC numbers are completed or signed off at the resource, the status is automatically changed. In Resource Maintenance (see Resource Maintenance), you can make a status change that takes effect immediately. End of the note.
