You can use activity hooks in the system to automatically perform validation tasks or look up values during the manufacturing process (see Hook Point Activity and Hook Points).

You can set up activity hooks in the following activities:

  • Site Maintenance

  • Operation Maintenance

  • Routing Maintenance

  • Resource Maintenance

  • NC Code Maintenance

Procedure

  1. On the Activity Hooks tab page, add one or more hook point activities by inserting new rows in the table.

  2. Enter the following data:

    Column

    Description

    Sequence

    The order the system executes this hook point. The system also uses this value to sequence all activities associated with this hook point (see Sequencing Object-Level Hook Points).

    Hook Point

    Specifies when the system should execute the activity identified in the Activity column of this row (see Site Level Hook Points and Object Level Hook Points)

    Activity

    The hook point activity

    The system runs this activity when this hook point is triggered at the assigned object.

    Enabled

    Selected: Runs the specified activity when this hook point is triggered for this object

    Deselected: Disables the activity hook, for example when you are troubleshooting a problem

    User Argument

    Used only with hook point activities; contains additional parameters or values to be passed to the activity during the hook execution

  3. Save your entries.
