This function is designed so that you can delete test data before production startup of a system.
You can delete base planning objects in Customizing for General Controlling .
In Customizing for General Controlling , choose
Enter the base planning object(s) to be deleted.
Enter the controlling area(s), if required.
If you do not enter any base planning objects or controlling areas, all the base planning objects in all the controlling areas are deleted.
By setting the corresponding indicator, you determine whether:
Only those base planning objects are deleted in which the indicator Deletion flag has been turned on in the master data
If you turn on this indicator, only those base planning objects are deleted for which the indicator Deletion flag has been turned on in the base planning object master data.
Deletion should be simulated in a test run
If you turn on this indicator, the base planning objects are not yet deleted.

Note
If you want to delete a large number of base planning objects, it is recommended that you have the system do this in the background. In such cases, choose ( ) . Check the background print parameters and choose Continue . Enter the start date and other start criteria for the background job. For example, you can specify that the job starts immediately, or not until another job has ended, or after a certain event has occurred. Choose ( ) to schedule the background job.
, and notThe system deletes the master record as well as all the data that is linked to the base planning objects, such as the long text and costing items.
