You can assign primary and one or more secondary shifts to users. The Labor Tracking component can use shift information to prevent users from clocking in when they are not scheduled to work.
You have defined labor charge codes in Labor Charge Code Maintenance and cost centers in Cost Center Maintenance (see Labor Charge Code Maintenance and Cost Center Maintenance).
On the Labor Tracking tab page of User Maintenance insert one or more rows in the table to provide labor tracking information about the user.
On the User Labor Tracking Details screen, enter required data:

If required, define one or more secondary shifts by inserting new rows in the table:

Apply your changes.
If you inserted more than one row in the table on the Labor Tracking tab page, specify the current row that applies to this user today.
Note
Only one row can be current. You cannot create a row with the same date in the Valid From column as an existing row. If dates in the Valid From and Valid To columns overlap another row, the system marks the row with value in the Valid From column that is closest to today as current.
