Packing 
You can use this component to track completed product as it is packed into containers and shipped from a manufacturing facility. It tracks the shop personnel who pack the product, the date and time the container was packed, and allows you to collect packing data types for the container or packed contents (see Packing Report).
This component also allows you to track product as it is unpacked from a container.
The Pack/Unpack activity can be set up to run standalone or as a plug-in into the production operator dashboard (see Pack/Unpack and Production Operator Dashboard (POD)).
With this component, you can do the following:
Specify the content of what can be packed into a container (see Container)
Print documents when a container is closed
Pack a partial quantity of the SFC number into a container (see SFC Number)
Save a partially filled container so it can be filled later
Send a notification when a container is filled

When you work with Packing, you decide the following:
How you want Pack/Unpack to run (see POD Maintenance)
What data you want to be collected during the packing process (see Packing Data Types)
What numbering pattern is used when container numbers are created
Whether operators pack SFC numbers or containers into a container
What documents are printed during the packing or unpacking process (see Printing of Production-Related Documents)
The dimensions of the container (see Container Maintenance)
What site hook point activities you want to run during the packing or unpacking process (see Standard Hook Point Activities)
