In some business contexts it is mandatory to link additional search criteria, such as size, color or active ingredient to customer-specific search content.

Procedure

Use these search engine-dependant procedures to create additional search criteria for the Enhanced Material Search user interface:

Search Engine Service

  1. Create an implementation of Business Add-In BADI_WSD_SES_ADD_ATTR as part of Enhancement Spot WSD_CS_ENH2.

  2. Append the additional search parameter fields to the existing structure WSD_MS_INPUT_FIELDS. The field names and types in structure WSD_MS_INPUT_FIELDS are always the data element of the additional field.

  3. Assign the new search parameters to applications in Customizing for Logistics — General by choosing   Material Master   Enhanced Material Search with Material Creation   Specify Search and Display Parameters for Material Search  .

SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search

  1. Append the additional search parameter fields to the existing structure WSD_MS_INPUT_FIELDS. The field names and types in structure WSD_MS_INPUT_FIELDS are always the data element of the additional field.

  2. Assign the new search parameters to applications in Customizing for Logistics — General by choosing   Material Master   Enhanced Material Search with Material Creation   Specify Search and Display Parameters for Material Search  .
