You can use the "general" navigation profile to insert additional functions or transactions into the application toolbar or context menu of an ALV grid control or ALV tree control. You can create, change, save, and manage user-specific and non user-specific navigation profiles. In navigation profiles, you can define which functions, transactions, class calls, or menus are displayed in the application toolbar or context menu. You can also transport or import navigation profiles.
Caution
Unlike the "general" navigation profile, you can only use the Material Requirements Planning Navigation Profile in the Stock/Requirements List and in the MRP List .

You can use the navigation profile not only in selected functions of production planning and control, but you also incorporate navigation profiles in your own applications with AVL grid controls and ALV tree controls.

In the authorization object C_NAV_PROF Navigation Profile, you define whether users are allowed to carry out the following functions:

In the relevant application functions, choose ( ) Navigation Profile .
The system displays a menu where you can choose from the following options:
Select Navigation Profile
Change Navigation Profile
Save Navigation Profile
Manage Navigation Profile
You can select user-specific and non user-specific navigation profiles.
The system display a dialog box in which you can edit the navigation profile.
You can change the navigation profile and in this way enhance the application toolbar or context menu.
New entries
Choose ( ) ( New Entry ), to add new entries. You can add functions, transactions, class calls, or menus.
For example, you can insert separators to group the entries.
Caution
When class calls are executed, the table of the ALV is transferred to the class that has been called so that you can evaluate the table or make entries for customer-specific fields.
Do not make any other changes as this can cause problems in standard functions.
Delete entries
Choose ( ) ( Delete Entry ), to delete entries or lines.
Change the position of the entry
You can move and copy entries using Drag&Drop or you can change the position of a function, transaction and so on, by choosing ( ) ( Up One Entry ) or ( ) ( Down One Entry ).
Display details
Choose ( ) ( Change Function ), to change a menu entry or a function, transaction and so on.
Settings for the application toolbar
Position the cursor on the row Application Toolbar and choose ( ) ( Change Function) .
For standard ALV functions in the application toolbar, you can define that these functions are displayed, displayed in compressed form, or hidden.
You can save navigation profiles on a user-dependent basis. If you are authorized to do so, you can also save navigation profiles on a non user-dependent basis.
The system displays an overview of standard or user profiles and you can, for example, choose a default setting.
Note
The system decides which navigation profile is chosen on the basis of the default setting, using the following logic:
If a user profile has been chosen as the default setting, the system uses this user profile.
If no user profile has been chosen as the default setting, the system uses the standard profile that has been chosen as the default setting.
If no standard profile has been chosen as the default setting, the system uses the SAP standard profile that has been chosen as the default setting.
You can also delete, transport or import navigation profiles, for example by choosing
.You can use the transaction Manage Navigation Profiles (transaction NAVP_MANAGE) to manage navigation profiles directly.
