  Archiving Base Planning Objects Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can archive the costing results of base planning objects and delete them from the database.

Integration

Base planning objects can be archived independently of other archiving programs.

Prerequisites

There are no specific Customizing settings you need to make in order to archive base planning objects. You can, however, set general values for archiving, such as the name, the path, and the size of the archive file in Customizing.

Depending on the amount of data, each cost estimate (excluding costing items) requires approximately 2,200 bytes of storage space. Each item requires an additional 750 bytes. Long texts require additional space, depending on the length of the text.

Authorizations

You need the following authorizations to be able to archive material cost estimates:

  • General archiving authorization: authorization object S_ARCHIVE with:

    Activity 01 (creating, reloading, deleting, and reading archive files)

    Application area: CO

    Archiving object: CO_BASEOBJ

  • Authorization object K_CKBS

  • Authorization object S_ADMIN_FCD for printing and using the spool

  • Authorization object S_BTCH_JOB for archiving, deleting, and reloading data, and for the read program in batch processing

Activities

You can call these functions from the menu as follows:   Accounting   Controlling   Product Cost C ontrolling   Product Cost Planning   Environment   Archiving   Base Planning Object   .

The screen Archive Administration: Initial Screen appears. The archiving object CO_BASEOBJ is shown as the default entry in the object name field.For more information, see Archive Administration .

Job Overview

View a list of all archiving jobs. You can then:

  • Display the log for a specified job ( ( ) Job log )

  • Branch to detailed information for a specified job ( ( ) )

  • Release a job ( ( ) Release )

  • Delete a job from the database ( ( ) )

  • Cancel an active job ( ( ) )

Database Tables

List all archiving objects that are part of a table

Information System

Access the central Archive Information System (SAP AS)
