You use this activity to associate slot configurations with a resource, and to load or replenish slot configurations for a resource, as a function of Time-Based Genealogy (see Time-Based Genealogy).

This activity can be also used with the PARSE_SLOT_COMPONENT hook point (see Hook Points).

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

Rule

Setting

ALLOW_SKIP

If set to TRUE, allows the user to skip a component in sequence mode.

Note that this rule applies to both Basic and Advanced GUI modes.

CONFLICTBOM

If set to TRUE (default), saves the proposed slot configuration even though the slot configuration setup has a conflict with the BOM that was used

DISPLAY_REV_BASIC

If set to TRUE, Displays the required Version field on the Basic Load or Replenish screen.

EXCESSBOM

If set to TRUE (default), saves the Proposed slot configuration even though the slot configuration contains a component that does not exist in the BOM that was used

HIDE_LOADED_ASSY_DATA

If set to TRUE, does not display the assembly data field values during replenishment

KEEP_ASSY_DATA

If set to TRUE (default), carries assembly data from a previous resource slot configuration setup forward to a proposed slot configuration

LOAD_OR_REPLENISH_GUI

BASIC: If the user is loading or replenishing selected components, then he or she is immediately taken to a screen that displays the Slot, Component and assembly data fields associated to the component after the user tabs from the field. Upon submitting Done, the component table is displayed.

ADVANCED (default): Displays the Advanced screen with the component table, component details and data fields for user entry

Caution Caution

This rule must have the same setting for Resource Slot Config Setup (EN530) and Load or Replenish (EN531).

End of the caution.

LOAD_OR_REPLENISH_MODE

CHOOSE (default): Allows operators to load or replenish components for a slot configuration in any order

SEQUENCE: Requires the operators to load or replenish components for a slot configuration in the sequence mode; the system supplies the identifier for each slot

MISSINGBOM

If set to TRUE (default), saves the proposed slot configuration even though a component in the BOM that was used is missing from the slot configuration setup

Fields

The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

Field

Description

Resource

The resource you are associating with this slot configuration

Setup State

Displays the setup state associated with the resource in Resource Maintenance

Open: There is no setup needed for this resource.

Breaking Down: The resource is broken.

Not Setup: The resource is not set up.

Setting Up: The resource is being set up.

Setup: The resource is set up and ready for production

Slot Config State

Proposed: This slot configuration is proposed to a resource. A proposed slot configuration is a slot configuration that is being set up to run in the future. The slots may or may not contain assembly data associated to it.

Set Up: This slot configuration is attached to the resource, and all of the slots on the resource are loaded with assembly data as required.

Assy Data

Identifies whether the slots have been loaded with assembly data:

Empty: No slots have assembly data loaded.

Partial: One or more slots are missing assembly data being loaded.

Full: All slots have assembly data loaded.

Propose

Assigns a slot configuration to a resource to be run in the future and does not perform a BOM verification

Note Note

You can propose a slot configuration only if it is in the Releasable state to a resource.

End of the note.

Verify and Propose

Assigns a slot configuration to a resource to be run in the future and performs a BOM verification

Note Note

You can propose a slot configuration only if it is in the Releasable state to a resource.

End of the note.

Activate Selected

Activates a slot configuration in the Proposed state on a resource; both the slot configuration state and resource state update to the Set Up state

Remove Selected Setup

Removes a slot configuration in the Proposed state from the resource setup

Removing a slot configuration in the Setting Up state from a resource causes the resource state to change to Open.

Unload

Unloads the slots that are loaded and all associated assembly data records on the resource from the system, including any records associated with a proposed slot configuration

Removes a slot configuration in the Set Up state from the resource and changes the resource state to Open

Load or Replenish - All Slots

Displays the Advanced or Basic screen to load assembly data for all the slots

Load or Replenish - Selected Slots

Displays the Advanced or Basic UI to load assembly data for only the selected slots
