Product Workbench 
You use this activity to view the material‑specific master data information and related activities on one screen. It provides one activity from which you can view, access, and change the following material‑specific information:
Routings (see Routing)
Operations (see Operation)
BOM (see Bill of Material (BOM))
Assembly points (see Assembly Point (Assemble Components))
Data collections (see Data Collection (DC))
Work instructions (see Work Instruction)
Procedure
On the Product Workbench screen, enter the name of the material, its version, and retrieve the record.
The configuration data for the current material appears in a tree structure:
Field
Description
Routing
The production routing associated with the material
Step ID
The step ID or sequence number associated with the routing step in the current routing
Component
The components consumed at the current routing step
BOM
The BOM associated with the current material
Component
The component associated with the current BOM
Alternate Components
The alternate components associated with the current BOM
Sequence
The assembly sequence of the component in the current BOM
Data Collection
The data collection attached to the current material, routing, step ID, and operation
Work Instruction
The work instruction attached to the current material, routing, step ID, and operation
To open a new browser of the respective maintenance activity with the site and the definition automatically entered and the record auto retrieved, choose any definition link within the tree structure.
To open the Product Workbench Actions screen, choose Actions.
On the Product Workbench Actions screen, make required settings:

Remove Work Instruction
Opens the Attachment Maintenance - Work Instruction tab page
Display Work Instruction
Opens the Work Instruction Maintenance screen
Attach Data Collection
Opens the Attachment Maintenance - Data Collection tab page
Remove Data Collection
Opens the Attachment Maintenance - Data Collection tab page
Print Preview
Opens the Product Workbench print preview screen. Displays the tree structure totally expanded and formatted for printing.
NoteIt is valid if the material data has been retrieved and displayed.
