On the SFC Place Hold
screen, select the type of hold you want placed on the SFC numbers.
In the SFC/Process Lot/Shop Order
field, enter one of the following:
A single SFC number
A process lot number
A shop order number
Retrieve the data for the system to display information about the SFC numbers you entered in the SFC/Process Lot/Shop Order
field in the table.
To place a hold on the material, routing, and/or shop order that the SFC numbers you identified belong to, select the Hold Material
, Hold Routing
, or Hold Shop Order
checkboxes.
If you select a future hold type, you must enter the operation you want to hold the SFC numbers at in the Future Hold Operation
field.
In the Reason Code
field, enter the reason code for the hold type.
Specify the hold status and expected release date in the Hold Status
and Expected Release Date
fields accordingly.
Enter comments about the hold and choose Hold
.
The result of a hold depends on the object you place on hold, the type of hold you place, and the setting of the SFC numbers on Hold Can Be Started
system rule. See the table below for details:

Material, routing, or shop order |
The material, routing, or shop order you place on hold will not allow more SFC numbers to be released to the shop floor while the hold is in effect. SFC numbers already released are not affected unless you specifically place a hold on them as well. |
