When you transfer SFC numbers for consumption, they are finished and ready to be used as a subassembly at the destination site (see SFC Number).
When an SFC number has the Done
status at the last step on a routing, the system uses the transfer destination Receive
checkbox to determine whether the SFC number is automatically placed into the inventory table at the first step
of a routing on the destination site or the SFC number must be manually received and will then be placed into the inventory table after using the SFC Receipt
activity (see SFC Receipt).
If you clear the Site is Local
checkbox, you must also complete the Collaboration
tab page, so the system knows where to send transferred SFC numbers (see Site
Maintenance).
The figure below illustrates how you would set up the system to transfer SFC numbers between source and destination sites.
