Process documentationIntegration of Rework Orders

You can use this process to transfer the production order of the specific order type from SAP ERP to SAP ME to create or update the corresponding Rework shop order record in SAP ME.

Prerequisites

SAP ERP
  • You have specified an order type that SAP ME will consider as Rework.

  • You have created BOM master data for the produced material.

  • You have created routing master data for the produced material.

  • You have defined DRF replication model to replicate LOIPRO IDocs (in Customizing for Production, choose Start of the navigation path Integration with a Manufacturing Execution System Next navigation step Basic Settings for MES Integration End of the navigation path).

  • You have maintained a serial number profile for the header material so that a production order can contain serial numbers (in Customizing for Logistics choose Start of the navigation path Materials Management Next navigation step Material Master Next navigation step Material Next navigation step Change Next navigation step Work Scheduling End of the navigation path.

SAPMEINT
  • In SAP MII Workbench, you have verified that the reworkOrderCodes variable of the ProductionOrderRequest.xslt file contains the same order type that you have specified in SAP ERP.

    Note Note

By default, SAP ME considers the Rework order types as RW01 and RW02. You can define multiple Rework order types in the ProductionOrderRequest.xslt file using “|”.

    End of the note.
SAP ME
  • You have verified system rule settings (see ERP Integration Rules).

  • You have imported work center and resources from SAP ERP.

  • You have optionally imported BOM and routing master data from SAP ERP (see Transfer of Bill of Material (BOM) and Transfer of Routing).

BOM and routing masters that are sent from SAP ERP to SAP ME prior to the production order download allow additional manual configurations to take place inside of SAP ME. This prerequisite is optional because the BOM and routing master can be created in SAP ME directly from the production order download.

Note Note

Ensure that the REWORK_SFC_RELABEL activity rule of the DM510 activity is set to YES (see Shop Order Release).

End of the note.

Process

  1. When you release and then save a production order containing serial numbers in SAP ERP, the data is automatically distributed to SAP ME based on DRF filter settings.

  2. SAPMEINT creates the corresponding Production shop order with the SFC numbers in SAP ME (see Shop Order Maintenance).

  3. In SAP ME, you release the Production shop order in Shop Order Release and process it. Note that the SFCs must be in the Done status.

  4. In SAP ERP, you create a Production order of the Rework type (for example, RW01).

  5. In SAP ME, you retrieve the Rework order in Shop Order Maintenance. On the Serial/SFC tab, you can find the original SFC using the Original Material and Original Serial Number fields. Note that if serial numbers are not provided, you can find the original SFC using the Original SFC Number field.

  6. In SAP ME, you release this Rework order in Shop Order Release. Ensure that the original SFC number has been released. The unarchive process is executed for the original SFC number. A new shop order, routing, and BOM are applied to the original SFC number and relabel occurs as needed. Note that this original SFC number is marked as Obsolete in the Production shop order.
