You use this activity to do the following in the POD:

  • Create a new carrier or delete an existing one (see Carrier and Working with Carriers in the POD)

  • Assign a carrier type to a carrier

  • Add SFC numbers to a carrier or remove SFC numbers from the carrier

  • View the details of the SFC numbers in the carrier

  • Track a position of an SFC number in the carrier

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity (CREATE_CARRIER) in Activity Maintenance:

ALLOW_CREATE_CARRIER

YES (default): Allows you to create carriers in the POD

NO: You cannot create carries in the POD

ALLOW_DELETE_CARRIER

YES: Allows you to delete carries in the POD

NO (default): You cannot create carries in the POD

ALLOW_MIXED_ITEM

YES (default): Allows multiple materials to be added to a carrier

NO: Prevents multiple materials from being added to a carrier

ALLOW_MIXED_OPERATION

YES: Allows SFC numbers at different operations to be added to a carrier

NO (default): Prevents SFC numbers at different operations from being added to a carrier

ALLOW_MIXED_ROUTER

YES: Allows SFC numbers on different routings to be added to a carrier

NO (default): Prevents SFC numbers on different routings from being added to a carrier

ALLOW_MIXED_SHOP_ORDER

YES (default): Allows SFC numbers on different shop orders to be added to a carrier

NO: Prevents SFC numbers on different shop orders from being added to a carrier

ALLOW_MIXED_STATUS

YES: Allows SFC numbers with different statuses to be added to a carrier

NO (default): Prevents SFC numbers with different statuses from being added to a carrier
Fields

The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

Carrier Type

The carrier type that you can assign to the carrier

Carrier ID

The name of the carrier

SFC

The SFC number that you can add to the carrier

Create

Creates a new carrier

This field is visible only if the ALLOW_CREATE_CARRIER rule is set to YES in Activity Maintenance.

Deletes an existing carrier

This field is visible only if the ALLOW_DELETE_CARRIER rule is set to YES.

Remove Sel.

Removes selected SFC numbers from the carrier

Remove All

Removes all SFC numbers from the carrier
