Background documentationSerialization Rules

This group controls how data is handled during SFC number serialization and splits (see SFC Number, SFC Split, and Relaxed Routing Flow and NC Dispositioning).

System Rule

Description

Adjust SFC Qty Completed on Split

If set to true (default), when you split an SFC number, the system decreases completed quantities of a parent SFC number based on the quantity of a new SFC number and completed steps for a new SFC number have completed quantity

Can override at: site

Copy Activity Log Records

If set to true, copies the Activity Log records from the original SFC number to the new SFC numbers that result from serialization, split, or relabel

Can override at: site, material

Copy DC Data

If set to true (default), copies or moves the data collection (DC) data records from the original SFC number to the new SFC numbers that result from a serialization, split, or relabel

Can override at: site

Note that Post Split/Serialize - Copy DC Data (DC999) must be enabled at the POST_SPLIT and/or POST_SERIALIZE hook point at the site level.

Copy NC Data

If set to true (default), copies the nonconformance (NC) data records from the original SFC number to the new SFC numbers that result from a serialization or split

Can override at: site

Caution Caution

When the SFC number is panelized and the location value in the NC data matches one of the location values on the panel, the system moves the NC data to the new SFC number that corresponds to that piece, regardless of the setting of this system rule. If the location value in the NC data does not match one of the location values on the panel, the system follows the setting of this system rule.

End of the caution.

Note that Post Split/Serialize - Copy NC Data (NC999) must be enabled at the POST_SPLIT and/or POST_SERIALIZE hook point at the site level.
