Procedure documentationWorking with Carriers in the POD

Prerequisites

You have set up carriers in the system (see Setting Up Carriers).

You have opened the Operation Touch POD.

Procedure

  1. In the POD, choose Create Carrier to open the Create Carrier POD plug-in (see Create Carrier).

  2. Enter a carrier name in the Carrier ID field.

  3. Enter a carrier type that you want to assign to the carrier.

  4. Enter an SFC number that you want to add to the carrier.

  5. Select a position for the SFC number and choose Add.

    Note Note

    You can repeat steps 4 and 5 to add as many SFC numbers as needed to the carrier based on the carrier layout defined in Carrier Type Maintenance.

    You can assign an SFC number only to one position within a carrier.

  6. Save your entries.

    Note Note

    To move to a position of the carrier, choose Start of the navigation path More Next navigation step Go To End of the navigation path

    To view detailed information about the SFC numbers that you have added, choose Start of the navigation path More Next navigation step Details End of the navigation path.

    You can remove all or only selected SFC numbers from the carrier. You can delete the carrier ID if the ALLOW_DELETE_CARRIER rule for the CREATE_CARRIER activity is set to YES in Activity Maintenance.

  7. Return to the POD and select an operation.

  8. Start the carrier ID at the operation.

  9. Complete the carrier ID at the operation.
