You use this activity to define one or more set point parameters. A set point parameter is a collection of related values that allow you to identify a machine setting which a control system will strive to achieve. For example, the pressure for a boiler, or the speed of a motor speed controller.
This activity allows you to do the following:
Create and update set point groups
Attach set point groups to various objects
Create and change numeric and string set point parameters
Assign a target value along with upper and lower limits for numeric set point parameters
Assign string set point parameters to identify a tag name, file path, or URL
Copy an existing set point group to a new set point group
