You use this activity to define how objects are updated in SAP ME when the corresponding objects are changed in SAP ERP. You can change, add, or delete data fields of objects for which SAP ERP is the master and define how to handle the update.

The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

Allows you to select the following objects used in SAP ME ERP Integration:

  • BOM

  • BOM Component

  • BOM Component Alternate

  • BOM Component Operation

  • Material

  • Operation

  • Resource

  • Routing

  • Routing step

  • Shop Order

  • Work center

Field Name

Technical field name of an object as specified in SAP ME Request object.

When you choose the browse icon next to a field, the system displays a screen with a list of field names corresponding to application object’s Request class.

Note Note

You can add only the fields for which SAP ERP is master. Fields that are used in SAPMEINT are preloaded by initial data load.

Description

Displays a meaningful name for the corresponding Field Name.

Update Indicator

Indicates if a change for a field in SAP ERP has to be updated for the existing version of the object in SAP ME, a new version has to be created with a new value for the field in SAP ME, or the change for the field in SAP ERP has to be rejected in SAP ME.

For version-relevant application objects, allows you to select one of the following indicators:

  • Update

  • Upversion

  • Restricted

For version-irrelevant application objects, allows you to select Update indicator. Note that only for Shop Order object, Update and Restricted options are allowed.
