You can use this process to set up the Create Trackable SFC
feature (see Create Trackable SFC).
In System Rule Maintenance
, you enter the default shop order for trackable SFC numbers in the Default Shop Order for Trackable SFCs
system rule. If required, you set the Track Inventory
system
rule to true
(see System Rule Maintenance).
In Material Maintenance
, you create a record for the material and select Manufacture/Purchased
or Purchased
in the Type
field. By creating a trackable SFC number
for these material types, you allow the system to track purchased material as though the material was built rather than purchased. The purchased material can be processed through a routing to verify that the material is good quality (see Material
Maintenance).
If you want to allow operators to create trackable SFC numbers in Assembly Point
(CT500
) or when they add components in the POD or in As-Built Configuration
, on the Component
Details
screen for the component in BOM Maintenance
, select Material Default
or True
in the Trackable Component
field (see BOM
Maintenance).
If you want to require operators to enter a shop order in Create Trackable SFC
, on the Rules
tab page in Activity Maintenance
, you retrieve Create Trackable SFC
(PR300
)
and enter True
in the Setting
column for the REQUIRE_SHOP_ORDER
option (see Activity Maintenance).
When an operator enters values in Create Trackable SFC
and chooses Create SFC
, the system creates the SFC number record, requires a shop order, and sets its status to Done
or In Queue
dependent
upon the value of the Set to Done
checkbox.
When an operator enters the SFC number of a trackable SFC component in Assembly Point
or in As-Built Configuration
, the system creates the SFC number record and sets its status to Done
.
