Function documentationTransfer of Production Order with Quality Inspection Lot

This function enables the transfer of production order data with quality inspection lot from SAP ERP to SAP ME to create or update the corresponding Production shop order with quality inspection information in SAP ME (see Shop Order and DC Group).

Prerequisites

SAP ERP
  • In Customizing for Quality Management, you have done the following:

    • Choose Basic Settings and execute Maintain Setting at Plant Level.

    • Choose the plant record and then the Details icon.

    • On the Results Recording tab page, in the Results Recording area, deselect Summ. recording for n=1.

      Note Note

If the Summ. recording for n=1 checkbox is selected, the error message appears in SAPMEINT and the Production shop order is not created.

      End of the note.
    • Save your entries.

  • You have assigned and activated Inspection Type 03 (in-process inspection for production order) for the material on the Quality Management View of transaction MM01 or MM02.

  • You have assigned inspection characteristics to relevant operations of the routing (transaction CA01 or CA02) as follows:

    • Choose Start of the navigation path Operation Next navigation step Inspection Characteristic Overview End of the navigation path.

    • Select the checkbox for QN column.

    • Enter the inspection characteristic name.

    • Choose Control Indicators.

    • On the Edit Characteristic Control Indicators screen, you have done the following:

      • In Type, do the following:

        • Select Lower Spec Limit.

        • Select Upper Spec Limit.

        • Select Target Value (optional).

      • In Sample, select Sampling procedure.

      • In Results confirmation, do the following:

        • Select Required Characteristic for at least one characteristic.

        • Select Single result.

        • Select Defects recording if a characteristic is critical and needs automatic defects recording in SAP ERP.

        • Choose Continue.

      • On the second screen of the Edit Characteristic Control Indicators, you have done the following:

        • In Insp Scope, select Fixed Scope.

        • In Misc, select Record meas vals.

        • Choose Continue.

        • Choose Quan. Data.

      • The inspection characteristic for planned orders is not supported.

      End of the note.
  • For non-100% quality inspection, you have selected a non-manual Valuation Mode in the Sampling Procedure for a characteristic (transaction QDV1). This allows SAP ERP to automatically send the valuation to WIP in SAP ME at the quality inspection operation.

  • You have set up ALE communication to create and transmit LOIPRO02 and LOIPRO03 IDocs (see Customizing for ALE for Communication with SAP ME).

  • You have defined a DRF model to replicate LOIPRO02 or LOIPRO03 IDocs (in Customizing for Production, choose Start of the navigation path Integration with a Manufacturing Execution System Next navigation step Basic Settings for MES Integration End of the navigation path). For information about SAP ERP versions supporting DRF, see SAP Note 1793291Information published on SAP site.

Activities

  • In SAP ERP, you create a routing and assign one or more inspection characteristics to one or more operations.

  • You create a production order (transaction CO01) or update a production order (transaction CO02) using the created routing.

  • An inspection lot of inspection origin 03 is automatically created and assigned to the production order on release.

  • When the production order is sent to SAP ME, SAPMEINT creates the following records in SAP ME:
