You use this activity to process substeps in the POD (see Substep).

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity (SUBSTEP_LIST_DISPLAY) in Activity Maintenance:

Setting

SUBSTEP_MODE

CHOOSE (default): Allows you to mark substeps as finished in any order

SEQUENCE: Allows you to mark substeps as finished based on the substep sequence ID

AUTO_NEXT

YES: When a substep is finished, the system automatically chooses the next substep ready for processing based on the substep ID

NO (default): Allows you to select the next substep ready for processing

AUTO_COMPLETE

YES: When the last required substep is finished, the system automatically completes the SFC

NO (default): When all required substeps are finished, you must manually complete the SFC

AUTO_SELECT

NONE (default): When the Substep List POD plug-in is loaded, the system does not select any substeps. You must select a substep from the Substep List POD plug-in.

FIRST_NORMAL: When the Substep List POD plug-in is loaded, the system selects the first unfinished Normal substep.

FIRST_CRITICAL: When the Substep List POD plug-in is loaded, the system selects the first unfinished Critical substep.

ALLOW_UNFINSH

YES: The Unfinish button is enabled when the state of the substep is FINISHED and the operation is not complete. You can change the state of this substep to READY.

NO (default): The Unfinish button is not visible and you cannot change the state of the substep from FINISHED to READY when the operation is not complete.

Fields

The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

Substep/ID

The name and the unique identification of the substep

Description

The description of the substep defined in Substep Maintenance

State

The state of the substep

READY: The substep is ready for processing

FINISHED: The substep has been marked as finished. The operation can be completed after all nonoptional substeps are marked as finished.

BYPASSED: The substep is optional and has been skipped without being marked as finished.

If you select substeps of different states simultaneously, Finish and Unfinish buttons are disabled.

The name of the substep group

Type

The substep type

Normal: The operator must process and finish this substep.

Critical: The operator must process this substep.

Optional: The operator can skip this substep.
