Background documentationContainer Maintenance

You can use this activity to create and change container records by defining the following:

  • Objects to be packed into a container (see Container)

  • Data types used to collect data for the container and the SFC numbers being packed into the container

  • Documents to be printed during the packing process

  • Dimensions of the container

For more information, see Setting Up Packing.

Prerequisites
  1. You have specified units of measurement for distance and mass in System Rule Maintenance (see Miscellaneous Rules).

  2. You have defined data fields for the container and SFC number in Data Field Definition Maintenance (see Data Field Definition Maintenance).

  3. You have assigned these fields to the data types of the Packing Container and Packing SFC categories in Data Field Assignment Maintenance (see Data Field Assignment Maintenance).
