You can use the NC999 hook point activity to copy the nonconformance (NC) data from the original SFC number to the new SFC numbers that result from a serialization, split, or relabel (see SFC Number).

Caution Caution

NC data is copied only if the Copy NC Data system rule is set to true and this activity is enabled at the site level.

You can use this activity at POST_SPLIT and POST_SERIALIZE hook points.

Rules

The following table describes rules and setting that you can change for the NC999 activity in Activity Maintenance:

ALWAYS_COPY_IF_ANY_LOC

For each new SFC number that represents a panel location on the parent SFC number, this hook point activity searches for NC records with a matching panel location value. The system copies matching records to the new SFC number.

TRUE (default): If one or more NC records with panel locations have been copied to the new SFC number, the system also copies NC records with a blank panel location value

FALSE: Does not copy NC records with a blank panel location to the new SFC number

BYPASS_MANUAL_SPLIT

TRUE: Does not copy NC records when you split an SFC number using SFC Split

FALSE (default): Copies NC records when you split an SFC number using SFC Split

COPY_CANCELLED

TRUE (default): Copies canceled NC data to the new SFC number

FALSE: Does not copy canceled NC data to the new SFC number
