SAP ME generates SFC numbers when users do one of the following:
Release a shop order (see Shop Order Release or Create and Release SFC)
Run the Create SFC
hook point activity (see Create SFC)
Run RMA SFC Receipt
(see RMA SFC Receipt)
The number of SFC numbers SAP ME releases for shop orders and the quantity of each SFC number depends on the values you entered for the material record in the Lot Size
and Quantity Restriction
fields in Material Maintenance
(see Material Maintenance).
