Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning

This virtual data model provides the prerequisites for using SAP HANA to analyze data from Demand Planning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP) in SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO). Some of the views in this virtual data model contain master data and others contain planning data (transaction data). The views containing planning data are generated in the package sap.hba.scm-apo-go.REPLICATIONMODELNAME, where REPLICATIONMODELNAME is the name of the replication model used. The reuse views containing master data are not generated but static.

You can copy the query views or you can create your own query views using the reuse views in this virtual data model.

This virtual data model provides the prerequisites for answering the following business questions:

How many items have been sold in a given time horizon?
What is the ratio of historical demand to forecasted demand?
What is the projected future service level?
What is the future resource utilization per bucket?

Depending on the planning books used for generating the query views, this virtual data model may also provide the prerequisites for answering other business questions. For example, these questions may be the following:

In which countries was sales demand the highest last year?
What are the top selling products in a particular region?
In which week of a year a particular product is selling the best?
What is the expected demand for a particular product?
In which countries the projected service level is the worst?
Which are my products with the highest supply shortage?
In which week of a year we have the biggest production capacity issues?
What is the expected days’ supply for my product groups?
How does the quality of my forecast change over time?

You can also add your own attributes and measures to this view in the Replication Model Maintenance (/SAPAPO/REPL_MODEL) and Replication Model Maintenance (Maintenance View) (/SAPAPO/REPL_MOD_VIE) applications.
