SAP HANA information view that is used to define joins between tables and select a subset (or all) of their columns. The selected rows can be restricted by filters. Another application of attribute views is in the role of a dimension in a star schema defined by an analytic view. In this case, the attribute view adds more columns and also hierarchies as further analysis criteria to the analytic view. In the star schema of the analytic view, the attribute view is shown as a single dimension table that can be joined to a fact table. For example, attribute views can be used to join employees to organizational units and then the result can be joined to a sales fact table in the analytic view.
