A set of SPC trend rules used to determine whether a manufacturing process is in a state of statistical control.
They were originally named the #Western Electric rules# after the now-defunct manufacturing arm of the U.S. American Telephone&Telegraph Corporation (AT&T), by whose name they have since come to be known.
