Financial Accounting (FI)

An index that shows the final inflation rate for a specific period.

Some countries publish the estimated inflation rate by means of a provisional inflation index. Once the inflation data has been confirmed, they follow up the provisional index with a definitive index. Other countries publish only definitive indexes.
