A dunning form can consist of one or more pages. You can define two pages per form: A first and a subsequent page. In the SAP System, every form page is divided into different windows - see Windows in Dunning Forms: Page 1. The figure below shows the text windows for page 1 that were defined for a dunning notice in the standard system:

Text window for dunning notices

Address of original dunning recipient

FOOTER

REPEAT

Account information, such as account number of the customer with you, your account number with the customer, the accounting clerk, date, telephone and fax numbers

MAIN

Main window: This contains the dunning text (letter), the line item information from the dunning run, and totals.

You determine the windows and their position on the page when defining a form. Enter a text for every window.

For the HEADER, ADDRESS and FOOTER windows, you can enter different texts depending on the company code and dunning area. See Header, Sender, and Footer Text - Dunning Notices

The MAIN window is processed in a special way. You can use text elements for this window (see the figure in Sample Dunning Form).

The text elements enable you to enter different texts for a window; which text is then printed depends on the dunning proposal. Read Text Elements in the MAIN Window - Dunning Notices

For information that can only be determined in the dunning run, you store variables in the text or in the text element. These are replaced by the appropriate values when the dunning notice is printed. For more information, see Data from the Dunning Run for the Form Printout

Example

None of the line item information printed in the dunning notice can be determined until the dunning run takes place. The dunning program provides this information. It includes the document number, document date, the currency, and the amount. Variables are defined in the text element of the form for this information. These variables are replaced with the actual information when the dunning notices are printed.
