Viewing and Configuring the Communication Ports
The installed SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java (AS Java) has a preconfigured set of communication ports that are used both for internal and external communication. If some of these ports are already in use by other processes running on your machine, you may need to change the ports of the conflicting processes. If this is not possible, you may change some of the AS Java ports.
Viewing the Communication Ports
In the SAP MC, choose a system from the SAP system tree structure.
Locate the Access Points node. The information in the result pane depends on the type of the chosen instance.
For each port, you can view the process that uses that port, the communication protocol, the host to which it is bound, and whether the port is currently open.
Changing the Communication Ports

We recommend that you do not change any of the default communication ports unless there are other processes on your machine that use the same communication ports.
To change the Java instance ports, proceed as follows:
Open the Java instance profile located in the directory \usr\SAP\<SID>\SYS\profile with a text editor. The Java instance profile is named as follows: <SID>_<instance name>_<host>.
You can edit the values of the following ports:
HTTP port - the port opened on the ICM for establishing connections using the HTTP protocol.
P4 port - the port opened on the ICM for establishing connections using the P4 protocol.
IIOP port - the port opened on the ICM for establishing connections using the IIOP protocol.
Telnet port - the port opened on the ICM for establishing connections using the Telnet protocol.
The default values depend on the installation type of your system.

To change the Message Server port, proceed as follows:

Change the following value: rdisp/msserv_internal
