Use

As a moderator, you can declare a thread that another user posted in a forum as assumed answered. Only do so if you believe that you question has been answered by one or more of the posts on the thread.

Proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Navigate to the thread.

Above the thread is a prompt asking you whether or not you want to mark the thread as assumed answered.

...

       1.      Click Assumed Answered.

You can add a comment if required.

       2.      Choose Mark As Assumed Answered.

The thread now appears in the forums thread list with a symbol that shows it has been answered (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text).

Note that this does not close the thread. Other forum participants can still submit messages. By marking the question as answered, you only inform the creator of the thread and other forum users that you, the forum moderator, believe that the question has been answered.

The creator of the thread can confirm your decision or mark the thread as not answered.
