Procedure

  1. In the J2EE Visual Administrator, choose   Service   JCo RFC Provider  .

  2. Maintain the RFC destination:

    • Program ID: <PORTAL_HOSTNAME>_PORTAL_<SID>

    • Gateway Host: <GATEWAY_HOST>

    • Gateway Service: sapgw<SYSTEM_NUMBER>

    • Number of Processes (1–20):20

    • Application Server Host:<GATEWAY_HOST>

    • System Number:<SYSTEM_NUMBER>

    • Client:<ABAP_CLIENT>

    • Language:EN

    • User:<USER> (of your ABAP system)

    • Password:<PASSWORD> (of your ABAP system user)

  3. Save your entries.

  4. To transfer the RFC destination to the available RFC destination, choose one of the following methods:

    • Set an existing destination to the calling ABAP system.

    • Enter the ABAP system details within the JCo RFC Provider.

  5. Start the RFC server with the Start button.

If the RFC destination is also set up on the Application Server Java, you can test the connection by choosing Test Connection.
