User list for usability purposes
Result and time-interval driven routing to safeguard system performance
Enable the user list function if you want a list of existing users in the SAP Gateway system to be provided as an input help to facilitate the selection of appropriate users to whom tasks can be forwarded or you can define as substitutes, for example.
To enable the user list for selection purposes for Task Gateway, proceed as follows:
In your SAP Gateway system, start transaction SPRO.
Choose SAP Reference IMG.
In the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide, choose
.Open the Task Gateway Service Settings activity.
Choose New Entries.
Select the Enable User List column.
Choose Save.
If the Enable User List column is selected, the user list is enabled and consequently a list of all users in the SAP Gateway system is available for selection in the input help for Task Gateway.
If the Enable User List column is not selected, the user list is disabled and consequently no input help containing user names is available for Task Gateway. Consequently, it is necessary to enter the specific name for substitutes, for example.
To safeguard system performance in cases where the list is empty, enable result and time-interval driven routing. If you enable result and time-interval driven routing, you must also specify the time interval during which no repeated, user-initiated requests are to be executed. This setting enables you to safeguard your system performance by reducing the number of repetitive service calls within a defined time interval.
To enable result and time-interval driven routing and specify the time interval that is to apply, proceed as follows:
In your SAP Gateway system, start transaction SPRO.
Choose SAP Reference IMG.
In the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide, choose
.Open the Task Gateway Service Settings activity.
Choose New Entries.
Select the Enable Result and Time Interval Driven Routing column.
Choose Save.
After you have enabled result and time-interval driven routing, no repeated user-initiated requests are executed during the specified time interval (in seconds) in cases where the list is empty.
