Functional Overview

In SAP CRM, Activity Management is the act of recording information, including promotion planning that can be used during the customer lifecycle management. All communication transactions (appointments, dates, telephone calls, e-mails, letters, meetings) and tasks can be entered and administered using Activity Management. Each business activity with a customer is documented exactly. Phone calls, customer visits, tasks in preparation of an appointment are all examples of a CRM activity.

Service and Metadata Documents

You can connect to SAP CRM system using SAP Gateway services. The links to access the service document and metadata document is given in the table below.

DatesCollection

This collection provides details on related dates and duration of an activity.

MaterialCollection

This collection provides details of an activity journal, which comprises mainly of the products that are discussed in that activity.

PartnerCollection

This collection provides the related texts, which exists for an activity like Partner Name, Partner Function. This gives information if the partner is a Contact Person, Activity Partner, Owner, Attendee.

RelationsCollection

This collection provides information about the related documents (like activity/sales orders) of an Activity. It also provides additional details like type of a relation, item number.

TextsCollection

This collection provides the related texts, which exist for an activity. This includes text types like Note, Preparation, Correspondence.

Associations

For an activity there is a provision to navigate to:

  • Attachments which lists all the documents/attachments related to that activity.

  • Accounts service and check the details of all the partners related to that activity.
