Reports are technical objects in SAP ERP and BI system, which generates the necessary information as output in a well formatted manner. SAP Gateway service for Reporting Management provides a single point of access to SAP ERP and SAP BI reports. You will have access to a list of reports, which have been selected by the administrator and which have been assigned to your user role. You can either execute the report immediately or define a scheduling frequency based on which the report is delivered.

SAP Gateway services are supported for the following SAP releases:
SAP ERP 6.0
SAP BI 7.0 and 3.5
Prerequisite
SAP Gateway system must be configured as mentioned in Settings for Reporting Management on SAP Gateway before using the Reporting Management services.
There are three main entities in Reporting Management:
ReportCollection — ReportCollection is for Reports. Report includes all the information about a report on the SAP system like the report name, description, parameters, parameter details and their fixed values maintained by the administrator.
ReportSettingCollection — ReportSettingCollection is for Report Settings. Report Settings are personalized reports, which you can create from a Report whenever you want to schedule a report for execution on the SAP system.
ReportResultCollection — This represents the result of execution of a report on the Reporting Management system. You can create a subscription.
You can connect to SAP Reporting Management system using SAP Gateway services. The links to access the service document and metadata document is given in the table below.

You can run a Report but you cannot create, update or delete it.
