You can receive packed goods from production in one handling unit (HU) after another for the same manufacturing order, where the HUs have identical content.
You have expected goods receipts in SAP EWM for the manufacturing orders from SAP ERP. For more information, see Generate and Delete Expected Goods Receipts.
You have determined whether the system posts the goods receipt with the delivery creation when receiving goods at a specific work center or not by maintaining condition records for PPF action /SCWM/PDI_02_GR_POST

You start RF transaction Rec. HU by Manufacturing Order
and log on to a work center.
In the radio frequency transactions, choose
You start transaction Rec. HU by HU
and receive the first HU.
You identify the manufacturing order, product data, batch data, and possibly the external HU number.
You create a HU in the system.
If the pallet is not labelled yet, you print a HU label or a HU content label, and attach it to the pallet.
You receive the subsequent HUs.
As the subsequent HUs have identical content, the system proposes the same data for the next pallet.
Depending on the configuration, the system automatically posts goods receipt when the HU is received or when the putaway is confirmed.
The system sends the goods receipt to SAP ERP.
You put away the HU.
Depending on the configuration, the system automatically creates the putaway warehouse order when the HU is received or when you scan the HU from the source bin to put it away.
You use RF transaction Putaway by HU
to confirm the putaway into the final bin.
If you want to receive HUs that do not have identical contents, you have the following options:
To receive HUs that contain different products for the same manufacturing order, for example, pallets of finished products and pallets of by-products, you can use the RF transaction Receive HU by EAN
.
You scan each HU barcode individually to identify the contents of the HU.
To receive HUs that belong to different manufacturing orders, for example, different manufacturing orders arriving from the same production line, you can use the RF transaction Receive HU by Order
.
You enter the manufacturing order number for each HU.
If you want to put away the products immediately, you can use the RF transaction Receive HU by Order with Putaway
.
