Financial Master Data Management (EHP5)

This InfoArea provides Business Intelligence (BI) Content you can use to display the master data that has been processed in the data model provided by SAP. The reports give you an overview of the master data in the various editions. You can use them to make preparations for creating financial reports and for external audits.

To use this Content, you need to have implemented SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 and activated the business function Master Data Governance for Financials, Organizational Units.

Structure

This InfoArea provides a report with Data Origin BI and a report with Data Access for each topic.

The reports with Data Origin BI provide only data from released editions. The queries directly access InfoSets. The hierarchy-defining characteristics (Financial Statement Item (0FMD_FRSIT5), Item (0FMD_FSITM5), Account (0FMD_ACCNT5), Profit Center (0FMD_PCTR5), Cost Center (0FMD_CCTR5), and Consolidation Unit are extracted via the InfoPackage from the source system and written as a hierarchy in the BI system.

Data Flow with Data Origin BI

The reports with direct access provide data from all editions, including editions with the status In Process. The queries are defined on MultiProviders, which use VirtualProviders to call the RFC function module USMDZ_EXTRACT_REMOTE_DATA in the source system (see also VirtualProviders with Function Modules). The function module determines the data using the fields that are defined in Customizing for Master Data Governance for Financials under Reports Extraction (Direct Access) .
