Procedure documentation Change Runtime Properties  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The runtime properties are maintained on a tab page. The other tab pages are used to display the remaining area properties and provide information about changes to the area. Maintenance is different for client-dependent areas and areas that are not client-dependent.

Client-independent Areas

The input fields are displayed immediately for areas that are not client-dependent. The fields are automatically filled with the default values from the area’s definition if no runtime settings have been saved.

Client-dependent Areas

A tree structure with all active clients in the system is displayed for client-dependent areas. Moreover, there can be one node for the default values for all clients, and one node for clients that are not active (or freely-definable clients, see below). The status of the runtime property is displayed for every node (not maintained, not yet saved, saved, deleted). When a node is selected, this displays the input fields for the runtime properties of the relevant client. The fields are automatically filled with the default values from the area’s definition if no runtime settings have been saved. The default value can be loaded explicitly for each node, and the settings that are saved can be deleted.

The setting for one client can be copied to other clients. You can define non-active clients by specifying a client identifier that is not available. These non-active clients can be used for transporting settings to other systems.
