 Phrase Search in Characteristic Fields

For assignment to a characteristic, you can search for a phrase generically according to phrase text or phrase code. You can search as follows:

  • Single generic delimitation: Iso* , for example

  • ·         Double generic delimitation: *15* or *chlor* , for example

  • Placeholder in the middle of a key: Butan+l stands for both butanol and butanal, for example

  • Combination of search methods, for example, *1234+678*

    Note Note

The system does not differentiate between lowercase and uppercase letters during search runs.

    End of the note.

System behavior following the search depends on how many phrases the system finds:

  • If it finds only one phrase, it enters the phrase in the characteristic field.

  • If it finds more than one phrase, it displays the input help dialog box. Here the system displays only the phrases that correspond to the specified search criteria.
