 Maintaining Templates

Initial screen
  1. In the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Start of the navigation path Controlling Next navigation step Activity-Based Costing Next navigation step Templates Next navigation step Maintain Templates Next navigation step Create, Change End of the navigation path or Display Template .

  2. Enter the template name in the field Template for the template that you want to create, change or display, or select the template that you wish to change or display – in this case continue with step 4.

  3. Choose Template Environment .

  4. Choose .

    Note Note

    When creating templates, you can choose the one with the settings you want to transfer from group box Reference . You can change this data in the overview screen.

Overview Screen

The Overview screen, in which you create and edit templates, has the following areas:

Upper screen area: System function and title bar, underneath are the icons of the application bar, followed by the names of the environment and the template, as well as a field for an explanatory text for the template.

Template Table: Template name and application toolbar, table with the rows and columns of the current template, or space for creating these cells.

Function Selection screen area (bottom right): Application toolbar, display of the available functions.

Editor screen area (below left): Application toolbar, display of editor.

Create Template

You have completed steps one to four from the initial screen.

  1. If you are creating a new template, enter a descriptive text.

  2. Choose or from the application toolbar of the template table.

  3. Select the row type from the Type column.

  4. Enter a name for the row.

  5. Edit the remainder of the columns. You come to the individual columns with a mouse click or by using the keyboard. Double-click on a column for object, quantity or activation to get to the editor (for instructions, see: Defining Methods or Defining Formulas ).

  6. After creating or changing all the rows, choose Enter from the standard toolbar.

  7. To save the entries, choose .
