Use

When you create an article hierarchy the status is always ‘planned’. Once you have finished planning the hierarchy, you can activate it. After the relevant checks, the status of the article hierarchy is set to active.

Activities

Make changes to an active article hierarchy as follows:

·        Changes to an active article hierarchy:

You can make changes to an active article hierarchy. In the case of a time-independent article hierarchy, only article assignments can be changed. In the case of a time-dependent article hierarchy, node and article assignments can be changed.

Each of these changes immediately takes effect on the structures and operational applications that are integrated with this hierarchy.

Changes to the article hierarchy do not lead to automatic operational follow-on processes (for example, relisting)

·        Deactivated hierarchy

You can set the status of an active article hierarchy to ‘deactivated’ on the maintenance screen of properties of a hierarchy.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

You cannot change assignments and attributes of a deactivated hierarchy. You can only display or delete a deactivated hierarchy.
