Use

In this user department, you define site-specific article data for distribution centers. You have the following options:

If you do not specify a distribution center in the header when creating or changing an article master record, the data is maintained for the reference distribution center and for all distribution centers determined in the listing operation. This data is referred to as identically maintained data.

If you specify a distribution center in the header when creating or changing an article master record, the data is maintained for that distribution center only. If you maintain this data differently from the data for other distribution centers, it is referred to as differently maintained data. It is not changed if you change data at a higher level, nor does maintaining data differently for this distribution center change data at a higher level.

Example

Your company has distribution centers 0001 to 0100. You maintain logistics data differently for distribution center 0099 by entering distribution center 0099 in the header of the article master record, and changing the data.

For the same article, you maintain logistics data, but do not enter a distribution center in the header. The data is maintained identically for distribution centers 0001 to 0100 with the exception of 0099.

Production Data

This subscreen appears on the Logistics: Distribution Center data screen only in standard screen sequence 23, and only if the statuses Costing and Work Scheduling are defined for the article type in Customizing for the Article Master in the activity Define Attributes of Article Types.

If production data is not to be maintained for certain article types or by certain users, carry out the following steps in Customizing for the Article Master in the section Configuring the Article Master:

  1. Create a screen sequence of your own.
  2. You carry out this step and steps 2 and 3 in Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence.

  3. Remove the Production data subscreen (SAPLMGD2 2479) from the Logistics: Distribution Center data screen.
  4. Remove maintenance statuses A and G from the Logistics: Distribution Center data screen.
  5. Assign the screen sequence you have created to the article types for which production data is not to be maintained, and/or to the users who do not need to maintain this data.

You do this in Assign Screen Sequences to User/Article Type/Transaction/Industry Sector.
