The Configurator is a powerful parameter and function definition tool that allows for the customization of your POS terminals to your retail business needs through a flexible Web-based user interface. From this interface, you can control all of your terminal and kiosk functions and processes by manipulating their settings in a series of detailed application profiles. These application profiles contain parameter settings for such core functions as your tender and transaction types, tax settings, promotions, keyboard layouts, terminal menus, cashier prompts, customer records, and much more.

Integration

From the Configurator, the parameters you define are transferred or deployed to your store terminals and other points-of-interaction sites. These parameter deployment and update processes can be performed as often as required to keep up with your changing business needs.

Configuration profiles can be exported, archived, and imported into the same or another Configurator database using the data import/export utility. This upgrade process is easily achieved by simply executing a sequence of short scripts, after which the rest of the process is fully automated.

Many of the parameters in the Configurator need to be set only once, to reflect core aspects of your business model (for example, the tender types your company uses). Other parameters, such as cashier prompt and promotion settings, can be modified more frequently for maximum system flexibility.
