During basic configuration, configuration settings for the IDoc adapter (AAE) are also performed.
More information on the adapter: Configuring the IDoc Adapter (Advanced Adapter Engine)
The documentation referred to above covers the "business" configuration, this means: How you configure messaging based on this adapter. The steps below refer to "technical" configuration, this means: How to set up the adapter and make it work.
During basic configuration, the CTC wizard by default specifies the relevant resource adapter properties (of resource adapter inboundRA and JavaIdocAdapter ) and creates the necessary destinations. In particular, the destination XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION is created which ensures to connect to the IDoc metadata repository.
Depending on the chosen installation option, you need to specify different entries in the CTC wizard.
When you have chosen the dual-stack installation option of PI, by default the SAP system of the Integration Server is chosen as system to connect to.
Check in the corresponding dialog window of the CTC wizard (under IDoc Metadata Default Destination ) if Use Local System is chosen.
When you have chosen the Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX), you need to connect to an external system. In that case, in the corresponding dialog window of the CTC wizard (under IDoc Metadata Default Destination ) choose Use Remote System and specify the system details.
The CTC Wizard dialog requests parameters in 2 steps. These parameters listed below are mostly customer-specific (the customer must set a value), some are set by the CTC Wizard by default:
| Data | Default Value |
|---|---|
| Pooled Connection Mode | Yes |
| Max. Connections | 10 |
| Pool Size | 5 |
| Max. Wait Time in ms | 10 |
| Expiration Time in ms | 300 |
