If you encounter a problem you cannot solve on your own and you suspect the user management engine (UME), you can download the UME configuration as a zip file to attach to your customer message.
This section presents procedures for downloading the UME configuration when SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) Java is offline and online.
For online access, you have access to a user, which has been assigned a UME role with one of the following UME actions:
For offline access:
You have access to a file system user with administrative access to the database.
The database of the AS Java is up and running.
Downloading the UME Configuration When the AS Java is Up
Start UME configuration.
For more information, see Configuring User Management .
Choose the Support tab.
Click Download Configuration Zip File .
Save the file to your file system.
Downloading the UME Configuration When the AS Java is Down
Access the file system of the AS Java and navigate to a directory where you have write access.
Enter the following:
java - jar /usr/sap/ <SID> / <Java_Instance> /j2ee/cluster/bin/services/com.sap.security.core.ume.service/lib/private/sap.com~tc~sec~ume~service~impl.jar /usr/sap/ <SID> / <Java_Instance>
The system writes the zip file to the current directory.
Copy the file to your local file system.
You can now attach the zip file to your customer message to SAP Support.
