Creating a Banner 
You can use a banner to display an image on a Web site and to add a link to it. When users click the image, they go to the link target.
You create or edit a banner with the help of the banner editor. The following table provides an overview of the elements in the banner editor:

Depending on how you want to use the banner, you create it within a page or in a KM shared content folder (for example, the Shared Content folder of an area). For more information about the different options for creating Web content, see: Creating Web Content.
Open the banner editor.
You can open the banner editor within a page, or in a KM shared content folder. For more information, see: Creating and Editing Web Content.
The system displays the banner editor in a new browser window.
Add an image.
In the banner editor, choose Select Image.
In the Web content browser, navigate to the KM folder that contains the image you want to add.
Select the image.
Optional: In the Tooltip field, specify the quick info text that should be displayed in the banner image.
Optional: Specify the link to the target object that users should visit when they click the banner.
To specify an external link, enter the URL directly in the Link URL field.
To specify an internal link, either enter the link directly in the Link URL field, or browse the KM folders to locate the respective object.
Optional: If you want the target object to open in new window, select the Open in new window checkbox.
Enter the properties for the banner. For more information, see: Configuring the Properties of a Web Content Item.
Choose Save, and then choose Close.
