Translating Index Entries 
You are in the SAP system containing the terminology maintenance transaction.
To translate the index entries:
Call up transaction STERM.
Choose .
The Translation Worklist Terminology screen appears.
Restrict the search using suitable search criteria. For example, you can enter the person who created the term or the application component.
Select the category Only Index Entries.
Select the Degree of Translation.
Start building the translation worklist.
The SAPterm Translation: Entry <x> to <y> of <z> screen appears.
The lines are highlighted:
Red |
The term was not yet translated. |
Yellow |
The term was translated, but not yet released in the original or target language. |
Green |
The term was translated and released in the original and target languages. |
The traffic light shows the status of the terms.
Translate the index entries that are displayed and maintain the word category.
Check if there are proposals for the displayed index entries.
Note
You have to call this function again for each page. This prevents performance problems with large lists.
Proposal for untranslated entries gives you the proposal pool translations if there is 100% agreement. The translation that is found is entered in the relevant line.
Your proposals are offered from the proposal pool with Compare with Proposal Pool.
Check the proposals and translate the index entries.
With SAPterm: Display Same Entries you can display the terms that already exist in the terminology database.
You can display the corresponding object with Links to long documentation. Enter the desired context.
If the term is the same in the original language and the target language, you can copy the original language term with Copy source text.
Maintain the word category.
Save your entries.
The index entry translation was saved.
